Jam of the Day: “Spit vs. Ramo” by Moe Pope & Rain feat. Reks and Dua Boakye

Today’s jam of the day is one of those videos that somehow slipped through the cracks. However, YouTube is an amazing thing thanks to its suggestions and when this popped up, I instantly recognized Moe Pope since I’ve written about him before… along with Dua Boakye who is part of a beloved band that goes by the name Bad Rabbits. Remembering their previous works together, I decided to give “Spit vs. Ramo” a listen and thankfully I did. Point blank, the guys, including Rain and Reks, did their thing on this track and a second didn’t go by that I wasn’t nodding my head to the beat. Plus, it goes without saying that Dua’s vocals add a beautiful touch. Vibe with me!

Jam of the Day: “What You Need” by Moe Pope and Rain

Today’s jam of the day goes to a smooth track from Moe Pope and Rain off of their forthcoming LP Let the Right Ones In. They are a new name to the ranks but you’ll be just as impressed as I was by their old-school hip hop vibe that makes you just wanna kick back and nod your head to the beat. Check out “What You Need” and vibe with me!

Video for “Dead Kennedy’s” by Moe Pope feat. Slaine

So after listening to yesterday’s jam of the day repeatedly, I decided to see if Moe Pope had some other stuff and that was when I came across “Dead Kennedy’s”. This video is Moe’s newest release with a feature from fellow emcee Slaine. Moe’s upcoming mixtape will be released July 13th. Check it out!

Jam of the Day: “Walkin’ On The Moon (Cover)” by Bad Rabbits feat. Moe Pope

I got the privilege to see Bad Rabbits perform live years ago when they opened up for Travie McCoy and I haven’t seen a band have so much chemistry and have so much fun on stage. Bad Rabbits are absolutely electric live and I’ve been a huge fan of them ever since. While they haven’t released a new album in some time, the guys sometimes bless their listeners with covers of popular songs. Their cover of The Dream‘s “Walkin’ On The Moon” is absolutely beautiful and they skillfully incorporated their “alternative funk” sound with a feature from emcee Moe Pope. Feel good music all the way… Vibe with me!
