Robb Bank$ has been toting the forthcoming release of Year Of The Savage for a very long time. So long that his fans joke that it has become the new Detox. And yet, Robb turned around just last week and released a short seven track EP by the name of 2phoneshawty, with no indication of when YOTS will be released. As a fan of Robb, I think I can speak for everyone by saying I was just relieved to get new music. However, he came back with another surprise just a couple of days ago by releasing a collaborative project with Chris Travis titled No Trespassing. Again, Robb left us wondering if YOTS will ever see light of day but this hard hitting five track tape will just have to do until further notice.
You can download this tape here.
So, I’ve been patiently waiting for this day and the release came a lot sooner than was originally planned. You guys are seriously in for a treat but y’all should already expect that upon seeing /_\drian Daniel‘s name. The first ever article I wrote for this blog was debuting /_\drian’s first project Memoirs of a Stoner so I literally look forward to new material from him. Anyways, today I get to share his newest EP with all of y’all; a collaborative piece with German Bass/House producer LO.
LO stumbled across /_\drian after searching for new music. He came across his project Native, and after being impressed by /_\drian’s vocals and range, he sent him a bunch of instrumentals. This was how this project came to be and I couldn’t think of a more impressive collaboration. A gem from beginning to end, LO and /_\drian Daniel are onto something with this four track project. It also features two remixes from Leipzig based DUKTUS as well as Germany based House DJ ENNIO! Stream below!
He’s back! Phil The Thrill has unleashed his recent body of work, his Voicemails EP. Voicemails is filled with seven all new tracks including his previously released tracks “Voicemails Intro,” “Touche’,” and “TSROW”.
And I take pride in speaking real shit and that’s just why I dropped all of this chill shit.
Always evolving, Phil The Thrill is one artist that always releases a quality project that never fails to show growth. Voicemails is definitely an EP that you’ll be jamming out to for quite some time. Hear him out and download his project here.
After successful single releases and some waiting time, DUBB finally dropped his all new project Never Content, hosted by DJ Carisma. This tape is filled with sixteen tracks featuring production from names such as League of Starz, Remixx, Hidden Faces, and Chinky P alongside guest appearances from Iamsu!, Nipsey Hussle, Skeme, Eric Bellinger, Glasses Malone, and Rayven Justice.
So, not gonna lie, I have been patiently waiting for the release of Maurice‘s Paramount EP. With highly addictive, quality singles, this was a promising project and I will honestly say that Maurice didn’t let me down. Packed with seven stand out tracks, Paramount proves to be a strong launching point for the start of the seventeen year old’s solo career. Equipped with features from Toronto’s own Andreena and Andrew McArthur. Download here and stream below.
Following up his 2011 VAlien Mixtape, the Virginia native Phil The Thrill looks to gain his swing of momentum back with VAlien II. Phil looks to deliver honest and in depth music with 11 tracks that are bound to have you feeling that you personally know the artist or can relate to at least one of the many topics that he covers.
With each project Phil has graciously given his listeners, there is always a sense of growth and increasing confidence in his craft… almost as if each tape acts as another chapter in a growing story of Phil’s life. Take the time to explore this gem. Download here.
New Jack City is the second mixtape from New York City recording artist, ReQ Cartier. The Brooklyn emcee picks the industry’s top instrumentals and creates his own songs; adopting the beats as if they were his own, ReQ sets a movie-based theme; giving listeners his own rendition of the classic film, ‘New Jack City’, except taken place in Brooklyn, NY. New Jack City hosts appearances from YPB member Hollywood Rome and the DMV area’s Magworthy.
